AJIOKART Seller Terms & Conditions
These Seller Terms of Use govern AJIOKART seller registration, business verification, brand approval, product listings, SuperSite services, integrations, orders, shipping, payments, legal responsibilities, and account closure.

1. Agreement and scope
By creating a seller account and accepting these Terms, accessing the seller portal, listing products, connecting a store, accepting orders, or receiving payments through AJIOKART, you agree to these Terms of Use, the Seller Privacy Policy, and the applicable channel, product, shipping, payment, and programme terms made available to you. Where the law requires express acceptance, AJIOKART will seek it through the appropriate process.
“AJIOKART” or “Platform” means the AJIOKART marketplace and its seller services operated by Duo Polin Private Limited (“Operator” or “Duopolin”). “Seller” means the registered business or person using these services. “Buyer” means a person buying or enquiring about a Seller's products. “SuperSite” means an eligible Seller's dedicated business page. “Services” include the marketplace, seller portal, SuperSite, integrations, catalogue, order, logistics coordination, payment, and support tools.
The Seller and Buyer are responsible for their respective contractual duties. AJIOKART remains responsible for duties that apply directly to it under law or that it expressly accepts. Mandatory law prevails over any conflicting term. Specific channel terms govern only the channel or service to which they relate, insofar as legally permitted.
2. Eligibility and account
You must have the legal capacity and authority to enter these terms, operate the business you register, and sell the products you list. You must provide accurate, complete, and current information and keep your account, business, tax, bank, and contact details updated.
You are responsible for all activity under your account and for safeguarding credentials. Do not share credentials, permit unauthorised access, create misleading accounts, or use the Services for a business you are not authorised to represent. Notify AJIOKART promptly of suspected unauthorised access.
The seller portal is intended for persons and businesses legally capable of entering binding commercial agreements. You must be authorised to act for any business you register and must not open a replacement account to evade a restriction.
3. Onboarding and verification
AJIOKART may require business, identity, tax, bank, address, brand-authorisation, product, or other documents before activating an account, channel, product, payment method, or withdrawal. You authorise AJIOKART and its service providers to verify information through lawful and reasonable checks.
You must promptly correct rejected, expired, incomplete, or changed information. AJIOKART may pause onboarding, listings, orders, integrations, or payments when verification is incomplete or a material risk is identified.
Mandatory onboarding and brand approval
- Register the seller account.
- Complete and submit the business profile and required KYC, tax, address, and banking details.
- Add each brand that will be used in product listings.
- Submit brand ownership evidence or third-party brand authorisation when required, and obtain brand approval.
- Create product listings only under approved brands.
- Set inventory, prices, and a supported shipping method before starting sales.
Brand approval is required before publishing product listings under that brand. AJIOKART may reject, suspend, or revoke approval for incomplete information, invalid authorisation, suspected infringement, or other lawful compliance concerns. Platform approval is not a legal guarantee that a brand or product is genuine, safe, or compliant; these duties remain with the Seller.
4. Selling channels and integrations
Seller services may include a dedicated business SuperSite, AJIOKART marketplace listings, and approved WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, or other integrations. Individual features depend on configuration, serviceability, and applicable programme conditions.
Seller SuperSite
An eligible SuperSite may show the Seller's business name, public business address, contact number, approved brands, and product catalogue. It may offer a dedicated contact form, product-level bulk enquiry forms, and optional checkout only when that feature is available and enabled. Sellers must ensure that published contact details and business information are accurate and authorised for public display.
Direct enquiries
Contact and bulk enquiries submitted on a Seller's SuperSite are routed directly to that Seller's registered email address, rather than being distributed to competing sellers. AJIOKART may process necessary enquiry information to deliver messages, prevent abuse, provide support, and meet legal obligations. The Seller must handle received personal data lawfully and use it for the customer's enquiry or other authorised purposes only.
Buying options and integrations
Available tools may include the Where to Buy button, Constant Commerce widget, and AJIOKART Marketplace Purchase Links plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce. These may present supported marketplace purchasing options for mapped products. Sellers are responsible for accurate product identifiers, catalogue information, pricing, permissions, and connected-store credentials. Third-party channels operate under their own terms; AJIOKART does not guarantee their uninterrupted availability.
More information about the WordPress integration is available at the AJIOKART Marketplace Purchase Links plugin page.
5. Catalogue and product listings
You are responsible for every product, image, brand representation, title, description, specification, variant, SKU, MRP, selling price, stock level, HSN or tax classification, packaging detail, shipping detail, and market-channel setting submitted through the Services.
Listings must be accurate, current, lawful, and not misleading. You must have the rights to use all content and marks, comply with product-safety and labelling requirements, honour advertised prices and availability, and remove or correct information that becomes inaccurate.
Do not list counterfeit, unlawful, restricted, unsafe, stolen, infringing, or deceptive products. Do not manipulate search, categories, reviews, rankings, stock, pricing, or product attributes to mislead Buyers or other sellers.
You must not publish products under a brand that has not received required approval. You are responsible for any necessary trademark, distribution, import, or brand-owner permissions, even after AJIOKART approves the brand in its seller system.
6. Orders, shipping, returns, and cancellations
You must monitor and fulfil orders within the timelines and settings shown in the seller portal. You are responsible for supplying the correct goods, secure packaging, accurate shipping labels and invoices, reliable tracking, appropriate carrier handover, and timely cooperation with Buyer and support requests.
Choose a shipping method
- Ship Yourself: Arrange shipping through your own courier, such as Shiprocket, Delhivery, or another suitable provider, and manage its booking, charges, tracking, and delivery follow-up.
- AJIOKART Logistics: Where available, use shipping services arranged through AJIOKART, follow the designated dispatch and handover process, and pay applicable logistics charges.
Shipment loss and damage: As between AJIOKART and the Seller, the Seller bears the agreed commercial risk of lost or damaged goods under either shipping method, subject to applicable law and any express contractual exceptions. The Seller must cooperate in resolving valid Buyer refund, replacement, or delivery claims. Carrier compensation and transit insurance, if available, are governed by the relevant terms and are not guaranteed by AJIOKART. This allocation does not exclude duties imposed by law on AJIOKART, a carrier, or another party.
Returns, replacements, refunds, cancellations, shipping charges, and pickups are handled under the applicable product, shipping, and customer policies and mandatory law. Do not pressure a Buyer to complete or cancel a marketplace transaction outside the Services to avoid a fee, return, or buyer-protection process.
Buyer information supplied for an order may only be used for fulfilment, customer service, returns, legal compliance, or another authorised purpose. Protect that information and delete or restrict copies when no longer needed.
7. Pricing, fees, and taxes
You set product prices subject to applicable law, MRP limits, marketplace requirements, category-specific rates, published fee schedules, and any accepted programme terms. Standard seller registration and standard product listings are free. Fees may include category-based commission, shipping, payment collection, Cash on Delivery, fixed-order charges, cancellations, returns, and applicable taxes.
Fixed order fee
| Eligible order value | Fixed fee |
|---|---|
| Below ₹299 | ₹10 |
| ₹299 and above | ₹20 |
Applicable GST on fees is charged separately where required. The threshold relates to the eligible order value defined in the current fee schedule. The same calculation must be applied to order records and seller settlements.
Other currently published charges may include payment collection of 2.5% plus GST, Cash on Delivery of ₹50 or 2% of order value (whichever is higher) plus GST, and AJIOKART logistics starting from ₹40 plus GST. Rates, eligibility, categories, and limited-period 0% commission promotions may change. The operative fee schedule controls for the transaction. Check the current Marketplace Fee page before pricing products.
You are responsible for your product's applicable tax classification, legally required invoices, records, filings, and customer representations. AJIOKART remains responsible for its own legally mandated collection, withholding, reporting, or remittance duties. Changes to fees will be communicated as applicable and will not retrospectively alter completed transactions unless permitted by law or agreement.
8. Payments and settlements
Payments are settled to the verified bank account associated with the seller account, subject to order completion, returns, refunds, chargebacks, disputes, fees, taxes, fraud controls, legal holds, and the payment cycle shown in the portal.
You must keep bank details accurate and notify AJIOKART of any change through the approved verification process. AJIOKART may delay, adjust, or withhold an amount where reasonably necessary to resolve an order issue, recover a valid deduction, comply with law, or protect the platform. Settlement records in the portal are the operational record for the relevant transaction.
Published settlement guidance generally describes 15–30 business days from dispatch depending on product category and seller tier, with a shorter period described for certain eligible non-returnable or non-exchangeable products. These are not universal guaranteed payment dates; the applicable settlement policy and the status of each order control. AJIOKART must not withhold amounts arbitrarily, and required reasons and records will be made available through the relevant process.
9. Customer data, security, and communications
You must comply with the Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law when handling Buyer or other personal information. Use the minimum information necessary, restrict access to authorised personnel, and do not sell, publish, spam, or reuse customer data for unrelated marketing or profiling.
You must use reasonable security controls, report suspected data or account compromise promptly, and cooperate with AJIOKART investigations. AJIOKART may send service, security, order, policy, and account notices to the contact details you provide.
SuperSite contact and bulk enquiry details are delivered to the intended Seller's registered email and are not redistributed to competing sellers. A Seller may respond to the enquiry for its stated purpose but must not sell those details, use them for unrelated unsolicited marketing, or disclose them without an appropriate legal basis.
Public SuperSite business information may include your business name, address, approved brands, product catalogue, and contact number. Information supplied solely for identity, tax, or bank verification must not be published as SuperSite content unless legally required or otherwise authorised. For details see the Seller Privacy Policy.
10. Prohibited conduct
You must not use the Services to commit fraud, evade fees or taxes, launder money, infringe intellectual property, distribute malware, scrape or disrupt the platform, interfere with other sellers, manipulate orders or reviews, send unsolicited communications, or violate applicable law.
You must not upload harmful code, attempt unauthorised access, reverse engineer protected platform components, misuse APIs or integrations, impersonate another business, or publish content that is unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, or harmful.
11. Intellectual property and content licence
You retain ownership of the product content and intellectual property you lawfully provide. By listing content, you grant AJIOKART a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt for display, distribute, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, secure, and improve the Services during the period it is used.
AJIOKART and its licensors retain ownership of the platform, software, branding, documentation, and services. Except for the limited rights needed to use the Services, no intellectual-property licence is granted by implication.
You must own or have appropriate permission to use the brand names, trademarks, logos, photographs, descriptions, and other materials associated with every listing. Approval of a brand or listing by AJIOKART does not transfer the risk of intellectual-property infringement to the Platform.
12. Service availability and support
AJIOKART will use reasonable efforts to make the Services available, but access may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades, security, network failures, third-party outages, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
Seller support may provide operational guidance but does not guarantee a particular business result, sales volume, search position, integration outcome, or payment date where the outcome depends on Buyers, carriers, third parties, verification, or applicable law.
Optional SuperSite checkout, external buying links, courier coverage, and third-party integrations depend on actual availability and configuration. Display of a feature does not promise a particular sales outcome or successful connection to an external provider.
13. Suspension, restriction, and termination
AJIOKART may restrict an account, user, listing, channel, integration, order, payment, or withdrawal where reasonably necessary to investigate a suspected breach, protect Buyers or the platform, comply with law, prevent fraud or loss, or address a security or operational risk.
Either party may end the relationship as permitted by the applicable seller agreement or portal process. On termination, you must stop using the Services, settle outstanding obligations, honour valid orders and legal product obligations, and return or delete customer information as required. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including payment, confidentiality, data protection, intellectual property, disputes, and liability terms, survive termination.
14. Records, audits, and compliance
You must maintain accurate business, tax, product, order, shipping, return, and payment records required by applicable law and the Services. AJIOKART may request information or documents reasonably needed to verify compliance, resolve a dispute, process a payment, or meet a legal or platform obligation.
You must cooperate with reasonable compliance reviews and promptly correct a breach. Nothing in these terms prevents AJIOKART from reporting unlawful activity or preserving records where required.
Keep evidence relevant to order and shipment disputes, including order and invoice details, product and packaging records, courier booking and handover receipts, tracking events, delivery proof, and related support communications. These records may be requested for loss or damage investigations, settlements, tax matters, and lawful claims.
15. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AJIOKART and Duo Polin Private Limited are not responsible for losses arising solely from Seller-controlled goods, defective products, inaccurate listings, misleading claims, infringement, unlawful business activity, or Seller-attributable fulfilment failures. Sellers remain responsible for their own warranties, regulatory obligations, customer claims, and performance of sales contracts.
Subject to applicable law, AJIOKART is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential losses or loss of profit, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from the Services, except to the extent such exclusions are prohibited.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits AJIOKART's or Duopolin's own unlawful conduct, fraud, or obligations and liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Buyers, Sellers, regulators, and other persons retain their non-waivable rights and remedies.
16. Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Seller agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AJIOKART, Duo Polin Private Limited, and their respective directors, officers, employees, service providers, and authorised representatives from third-party claims, damages, losses, penalties, liabilities, and reasonable legal costs arising from the Seller's products, defects, unsafe or unlawful goods, listings, misleading claims, tax or regulatory non-compliance, intellectual-property infringement, business conduct, negligence, fraud, breach of these Terms, or attributable shipping and fulfilment failures.
The Seller must provide reasonable records and cooperation when a claim or legal notice concerns the Seller's products or conduct. This indemnity does not apply to the extent the loss is caused by AJIOKART's or Duopolin's own unlawful conduct, breach, or non-excludable legal responsibility, or to the extent prohibited by law.
17. Changes to these terms
AJIOKART may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, business operations, technical services, marketplace policy, or commercial conditions. Material changes will be communicated by an appropriate portal, email, or dashboard notice. The revised Terms will display an effective date and, where legally or contractually required, AJIOKART will obtain fresh acceptance.
Changes will not remove accrued rights or obligations for earlier transactions. If you do not agree to material changes, you may stop using the affected service and follow the applicable account-closure or restriction process.
18. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by applicable Indian law. Disputes are subject to the courts or legally competent authorities having jurisdiction under law and any valid agreement, without restricting statutory rights or remedies.
Seller support and grievance contact: Ankur Vishnoi. Email suppot@ajiokart.com; mobile / WhatsApp +91 9990635803; message AJIOKART on WhatsApp. Sellers may also raise eligible issues through the seller dashboard.
19. Electronic records and communications
These Terms, account communications, transaction records, and notices may be created, communicated, and retained as electronic records under applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000. Where permitted by law, electronic records and electronic acceptance have the same effect as written records and signatures.
By using the Services, you consent to receive account, order, payment, security, policy, and support communications electronically at your registered contact details and through seller dashboard notices. Keep those details current and review notices promptly.
Electronic acceptance and account notices may be logged with their applicable Terms version and timestamp to evidence which policies applied. Sellers must keep their registered contact email and mobile number accurate.
20. Marketplace role and seller-buyer contracts
AJIOKART provides the marketplace, storefront, integration, payment, and related services. Except for obligations AJIOKART expressly assumes, the commercial contract for each sale is between the Seller and Buyer. AJIOKART does not determine the parties’ commercial terms or guarantee a Buyer’s or Seller’s performance.
You remain responsible for product quality, title, descriptions, pricing, availability, delivery, warranties, after-sales support, and lawful performance of every listing and transaction.
Buyer protections offered for purchases completed through AJIOKART do not automatically apply to quotations or transactions that a Seller and Buyer independently complete outside the marketplace after a SuperSite enquiry. Sellers must not misrepresent the availability of marketplace payment, return, or dispute protections for an off-platform transaction.
21. Account closure and surviving obligations
If you request account closure, AJIOKART may place the account on hold for the closure period shown in the portal while prior transactions, returns, disputes, payments, tax matters, investigations, and required record-retention obligations are resolved. Deactivation remains subject to outstanding amounts and the applicable portal process.
Where restoration is available, it is handled through AJIOKART’s approved process. You must not create or use another account to bypass a restriction, and obligations that survive closure or termination continue to apply.
22. Selling, tax, and product compliance
You must maintain every licence, permission, tax registration, brand authorisation, and product approval required for the goods or services you list. This includes applicable GSTIN and HSN details, FSSAI requirements, legal metrology and labelling requirements, country-of-origin information, shelf-life rules, and category-specific approvals.
You are responsible for correct tax classification, GST and tax-collection-at-source treatment where applicable, invoices, records, filings, and representations made to Buyers. The portal may collect and remit tax at source as required by applicable law.
You must not list prohibited or restricted products or source, manufacture, market, or sell goods contrary to applicable law, sanctions, exchange-control requirements, or other mandatory rules. Current category rules and seller policies apply in addition to these Terms.
Brand approval, while mandatory before publishing products under a brand, does not replace the Seller's obligation to secure all applicable product, trademark, distributor, safety, import, tax, and labelling permissions.
23. Dispatch, delivery, and settlement records
You must dispatch orders within the promised or portal-defined timeline using the shipping method configured for the transaction, provide accurate tracking and after-sales information, and maintain proof of dispatch and delivery where required by applicable law or AJIOKART policy. Required records must be provided on request.
Seller remittance is subject to confirmed delivery, returns, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, fees, taxes, fraud controls, legal holds, and the payment cycle or settlement policy displayed in the portal.
For either Ship Yourself or AJIOKART Logistics, keep reasonable dispatch, handover, and tracking records. Commercial risk for shipment loss or damage rests with the Seller as set out in section 6, subject to non-excludable duties and contractual exceptions.
24. Fees, invoices, and payment services
Applicable commission, collection, shipping, fixed-order, cancellation, return, payment, and other fees and taxes are those displayed in the seller portal, pricing pages, order records, or settlement statements. Fee schedules and taxes may change as displayed and notified through the portal.
Issuing a correct and complete invoice and complying with invoice and tax requirements are the Seller’s responsibility. Any assistance provided by AJIOKART to generate an invoice does not transfer that responsibility. Use AJIOKART branding only where expressly authorised.
Payment services are provided by AJIOKART or its service providers under the applicable agreements and portal terms. Available payment methods are subject to provider, category, and portal availability and terms.
The current fixed-order fee threshold is stated in section 7 (Pricing, fees, and taxes). The applicable order and settlement records should use the same threshold. The current public rates and promotions should be verified against the Marketplace Fee page.
25. Content, intellectual property, and authorised branding
You retain ownership of the product content and intellectual property you lawfully provide. By listing content, you grant AJIOKART a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt for display, distribute, promote, secure, and improve the Services using that content for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the relevant service.
You must not copy, reproduce, republish, upload, transmit, or distribute AJIOKART or another seller’s material without the required rights and consent. You may use AJIOKART names or logos only as expressly authorised by AJIOKART or the portal, including any approved invoice or packaging use.
Trademark, copyright, or other intellectual-property concerns may be reported through the seller dashboard support process. AJIOKART may remove or restrict content while a report or compliance review is pending.
Products may only be published under brands that have successfully completed the required approval process. Sellers remain responsible for brand authorisations and lawful public use of brand material on their SuperSite and across connected channels.
26. Audits, breach, and enforcement
AJIOKART may inspect relevant seller records or request reasonable information or third-party verification where permitted and necessary to verify compliance, investigate a concern, or meet a legal or platform obligation. Audit costs are handled under the applicable policy and may be assigned to the Seller where the review identifies a material discrepancy or non-compliance.
AJIOKART may remove content or restrict, suspend, terminate, or refuse access to an account, listing, channel, integration, payment, or withdrawal where reasonably necessary for a breach, failed verification, legal risk, missing documents, fraud, security, or operational protection. Reinstatement is at AJIOKART’s discretion, and unlawful activity may be reported to the appropriate authority.
You must cooperate with reasonable reviews, correct a breach, preserve required records, and remain responsible for content, transactions, and obligations arising before a restriction or closure.
27. Seller programmes and changing commercial terms
Any seller programme, tier, benefit, rate card, promotional offer, or service feature is subject to the current terms displayed in the seller portal. AJIOKART may revise, add, or withdraw programmes and commercial terms as permitted by these Terms and applicable law, with material changes communicated through the portal or other registered contact channel.
Limited-time zero-commission offers apply only to eligible categories, sellers, orders, and offer periods. Registration and standard catalogue listings are free, but any transaction charges applicable to an order remain payable under the rate card accepted for that transaction.
28. Territorial compliance and grievances
Sellers must comply with the territorial, product, tax, import, export, payment, and other legal restrictions applicable to each transaction and channel. Channel and product-specific terms govern where they apply, subject to mandatory law.
For seller questions, complaints, or disputes, use the seller dashboard's support facility or contact Ankur Vishnoi at suppot@ajiokart.com, mobile / WhatsApp +91 9990635803, or WhatsApp chat. AJIOKART will address grievances according to applicable law and the relevant circumstances.
